3:31 PM Current weather conditions: 68 degrees, 84 percent relative humidity, the barometer 29.94 inches, with a track temperature of 102 degrees.

No help for the first pair. The bump is John Smith's 7.312, so it will be tough to break into the field.

Right Lane: Michael Lozano Runs 7.879/167.00, Now #32; Best prior run: 7.741/160.71, Was #32

Stoffer finally got the bike off the starting line and came oh, so close.

Right Lane: Brian DeLong Runs 7.454/179.42, Now #30; Best prior run: 7.456/173.94, Was #30

Right Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 7.280/180.18, Now #11; Best prior run: 7.313/178.60, Was #17

Steve Johnson made a good run and bumped the rider in the other lane out of the field. That should be the end of any bumping, so now they are racing to determine final pairings.

Left Lane: Joe DeSantis Runs 7.437/180.54, Now #15; Best prior run: 7.305/177.27, Was #15
Right Lane: Chris Reuter Runs 7.335/182.51, Now #16; Best prior run: 7.308/179.17, Was #16

Right Lane: Fred Collis Runs 7.259/184.16, Now #6; Best prior run: 7.218/184.31, Was #6

Collis broke a valve on his earlier run today. Neither rider improved.

Right Lane: Mike Berry Runs 7.392/183.03, Now #5; Best prior run: 7.213/184.99, Was #5

Schultz' bike kept drifting left and he finally backed off to stay off the wall. No visible problems with Berry's run, but he fell off his earlier pace.

Left Lane: Shawn Gann Runs 7.216/182.33, Now #6; Best prior run: 7.222/180.32, Was #7
