Kelly had problems staging and the RPM's on the engine dropped when the tree was activated.

Wells makes his best pass of the weekend but it still isn't enough. Bourke takes the win and will have lane choice over Bartone in round three.

Thacker has the only blown alcohol dragster left in competition....but not anymore. He gets a big hole-shot but Gallant drives around before they get to half-track and takes the win. Gallant will give up lane choice to Reichert in round three.
