Fri, 2 May 2003, 09:03 PM Rain Wipes Out Friday Night Qualifying

By Larry Sullivan

COMMERCE, Ga. - 8:50 PM - The first hint that rain was returning to Atlanta Dragway was a small horde of Pro Stock Motorcycle riders hustling their motorcycles back to the pits. The second clue was the rapidly clearing grandstands. Racing is through for the day. The second qualifying session for Professional eliminators will not be made up, so those not yet qualified for eliminations will have just two more opportunities to do so. Racing will resume Saturday morning at 8:30 AM with the second round of eliminations for Super Street.
