TOPEKA, Kan. - 12:00 noon - The quarter mile is dry and the Safety Safari is working on the difficult-to-dry shutdown area. NHRA officials at the 15th annual O'Reilly Summer Nationals presented by Castrol GTX estimate that the track will be ready for racing by 12:45 PM. The Saturday schedule has been revised to move the Sportsman racing that was supposed to open the day to follow the second Professional session, around 7:00 PM or so. There will be an added Sportsman session Sunday morning to get those fields down to eight or fewer competitors before the traditional 11:00 AM Professional eliminations kickoff. We'll let you know if the situation changes, but you should see notes from the third Pro Stock qualifying session around 1:30 PM.
