JOLIET, Ill. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Rear Wheel Drive at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, Sixth annual Lucas Oil NHRA Route 66 Nationals:

Scranton strapped a light on Ibarra and drove away to any easy victory with a stout lap as the Mazda at least made it from end to end.

Arslanian made one of the quickest and fastest runs of the c category but wasted it with a very early bulb to advance the Puerto Rico based Nissan.

Cruz rolled the beams and gave the automatic victory to the Street Glow Solara as Ioannou got out of shape and shut off to coast through.

Downing knew this would be a freebie after Papadakis broke during yesterday's time trials and as he intended, shut off before half track to save the machinery.
