HEBRON, Ohio - Results of round 2 eliminations in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 39th annual Pontiac Excitement Nationals presented by Summit Racing:

2:51 PM Current weather conditions: 79 degrees, 55 percent relative humidity, the barometer 30.13 inches, with a track temperature of 108 degrees.

Two pretty good blown dragsters faced off here and Thacker's string of strong outings came to a quick end, the car slowing abruptly about 100 feet out, the problem not obvious from here. Both drivers were right on time at the tree, but Thacker's apparent mechanical problems turned what should have been a good drag race into a one-horse affair. Wilson made a good run, right down the groove.

Two more pretty good blown cars met here. Lindert had this one under control from the start, leaving first and running away from Cantrell.

Two more blown cars, also among the best in the country. Bohr has been fairly consistent all weekend, but Howard has been consistently quicker. Bohr got a tenth of a second holeshot and that was enough to take the win over Howard's quicker run. Jeff Bohr's incremental margins: 60ft(0.120), 330 ft(0.105), 660ft(0.096), 1,000ft(0.090). MOV: 0.0866 seconds (approximately 32 feet). Bohr made his best run of the weekend and will have lane choice against Lindert in the semifinals.

Final pair, Bartone's crew able to repair any collateral damage caused to the rear of Tony's car by debris from Gary Ward's accident in the first round. Kosky did his job, away first and pulling ahead, leading all the way past the 1,000-foot marker, but then the faster A-Fuel car went by for the win in the lights. Tony Bartone's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.063), 330 ft(-0.120), 660ft(-0.090), 1,000ft(-0.038). MOV: 0.0024 seconds (approximately 11 inches). Bartone will have lane choice against Wilson in the semifinals.
