CLERMONT, Ind. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Stock Bike at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 49th annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals:

Current weather conditions: 77 degrees, 50 percent relative humidity, the barometer 30.10 inches, with a track temperature of 110 degrees. Scali is the current points leader. Stoffer hands this one to Scali with a red light and even though Scali appeared to miss a shift he advances.

Reggie Has the chance to double up here with a win today adding $10,000 to his K & N Klash payout from last weekend. Another bulb, this time by a mere thousandth and Treble shuts off early and coasts his way out of the action

THis is Johnson's 15th Indy start, having made his first appearance here in 1987. Wow, Johnson should have waited for the next pair with a .630 light and Collis wins this one easily. clinching the deal with a .009 light that would have been hard to top.

Willie G Davidson is on the start line to watch Tonglet on the V-rod. Still another foul, this time for Hale and Tonglet shuts off early for some reason that is not immediately apparent.

Andrew is the third member of the Hines family to make the show here following his father and brother. Hines is just on t he good side of a red light with a .006 reaction time and has Phillips covered all the way.

Again the intimidation factor appears to have an effect and Berry gives this one away on the line to 2000 winner Brown on the Army bike..

Making his first Indy start Reuter goes red by .007 and Gann has low e.t. of the round to seal the deal and take lane choice over Tonglet. Savoie will get to pick over Showers, Collis picks over Scali and Brown over Hines in the second stanza.
