Pro Stock Qualifying Notes, Final Session

ENNIS, Texas - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 18th annual O'Reilly Fall Nationals presented by Castrol Syntec listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Jose Maldonado Runs 6.935/199.68, Now #31; Best prior run: 6.965/199.60, Was #32
Right Lane: Fernando Cuadra Runs 6.936/199.95, Now #30; Best prior run: 6.933/200.62, Was #30

Current weather conditions: 81 degrees, 47 percent relative humidity, the barometer 29.91 inches, with a track temperature of 106 degrees under high fluffy clouds.

Left Lane: Arturo Delgado Runs 6.951/199.68, Now #32; Best prior run: 6.941/198.76, Was #32
Right Lane: Bob Yonke Runs 6.925/201.25, Now #26; Best prior run: 6.910/201.52, Was #26

Left Lane: V. Gaines No Time, Now #29; Best prior run: 6.919/201.07, Was #28

Pawuk with the best pass on this new car and he gets in the show and that bumps out Yates and puts Edwards on the bubble.

Left Lane: Darrell Alderman Runs 6.889/201.47, Now #22; Best prior run: 6.901/201.07, Was #27
Right Lane: Kenny Koretsky Runs 6.930/200.22, Now #24; Best prior run: 6.892/201.16, Was #23

Left Lane: Ron Krisher Runs 6.899/201.56, Now #20; Best prior run: 6.888/201.34, Was #20
Right Lane: Ben Watson Runs 6.914/199.91, Now #23; Best prior run: 6.890/200.40, Was #23

Krisher doesn't improve and he will not make the show.

Left Lane: Mike Corvo Jr Runs 6.879/201.20, Now #15; Best prior run: 6.885/201.43, Was #18
Right Lane: Robert Patrick Runs 6.885/201.16, Now #19; Best prior run: 6.888/201.29, Was #21

Corvo gets back in the show here and that bumped out Edwards and put Pawuk on the bubble.

Left Lane: Allen Johnson Runs 6.874/201.79, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.877/201.16, Was #14
Right Lane: Jim Yates Runs 6.881/200.66, Now #18; Best prior run: 6.883/200.93, Was #18

Johnson with his best pass of the weekend to move up a couple spots. Yates with his best pass of the weekend, but it will not be enough to get in the show.

Left Lane: Steve Schmidt Runs 6.880/201.70, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.876/201.65, Was #13
Right Lane: Mike Edwards Runs 6.896/201.11, Now #17; Best prior run: 6.880/201.25, Was #17

Edwards is the last car that can bump into the show and he just misses, sot the Pawuk survives.

Left Lane: Taylor Lastor Runs 6.870/201.83, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.870/201.79, Was #11
Right Lane: Scott Geoffrion Runs 6.903/200.22, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.876/200.71, Was #14

No help for Geoffrion while Lastor matches his best pass of the weekend.

Left Lane: George Marnell Runs 6.867/201.38, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.869/202.11, Was #10
Right Lane: Troy Coughlin Runs 6.861/201.43, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.867/201.47, Was #9

Both of these two improve Troy enough to get into the top half of the show while Marnell will stay 10.

Left Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.840/202.06, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.860/201.52, Was #5
Right Lane: Gene Wilson Runs 6.871/201.92, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.864/201.88, Was #9

Jeg with the quickest pass of the session.

Left Lane: Bruce Allen Runs 6.853/202.24, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.856/201.79, Was #5
Right Lane: Warren Johnson Runs 6.867/201.97, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.862/202.11, Was #8

Allen with his best pass of the weekend and he moves up one spot on the ladder.

Left Lane: Dave Connolly Runs 6.835/202.56, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.853/201.92, Was #5
Right Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 6.924/201.25, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.861/202.06, Was #6

Connolly with a great looking pass and the quickest pass of the session for the number two spot.

Left Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.826/203.11, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.835/202.79, Was #1
Right Lane: Kurt Johnson Runs 6.853/202.47, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.843/202.70, Was #4

Anderson like all season long just continues to crush them for his 12th number one of the season.
