ENNIS, Texas - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Modified at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 18th annual O'Reilly Fall Nationals presented by Castrol Syntec:

1:12 PM Current weather conditions: 71 degrees, 68 percent relative humidity, the barometer 30.11 inches, with a track temperature of 91 degrees.

A couple of good runs, both right down the groove, McAmis leaves first and never looks back.

Castellana leaves a tick too early and gives the win to Patterson. Patterson makes the quickest run of the weekend.

Smith didn't make the field but was put in as an alternate when Kuhns couldn't make the call. He makes the best of the situation, running the quickest ET of the weekend and takes the win. He will have lane choice over Patterson in the next round.

Smith spins the tires off the line and lets Ray get out in front. He gets the slicks to bite quickly and drives around Ray at half-track. Smith will have lane choice over McAmis in the next round.
