And furthermore…look for a very prominent Division 3 alcohol
team owner to announce shortly that he is teaming up with a very prominent
Division 4 driver to field what should be an extremely competitive Funny Car
next year. OK,
I’ll tell you, it’s
George Etterman and
Tate Branch and that should be a
tremendous combination…..Look for
Marc
White, who drove for George the past couple of years, to help tune on an
alky dragster in D-3 and then spend some time out west driving for
Randy Goodwin….Wait, there’s more. Look
for
Tommy Johnson and
Ron Capps to be in a western movie real
soon. Honest. In fact, they’ll be in Texas next week filming it along with
Shelly Howard and the aforementioned
Tate Brach.
Grady Bryant, who had a great book out a few years ago called
“Match Race Madness” is behind the
deal. Good luck to everyone….And, finally, my sources tell me that a certain
television announcer was seen being fitted for a Top Fuel dragster just this
past week. Now I can’t tell you who it is, but let’s just say this is a “done”
deal. He was getting ready to drive the car for a certain owner who has been
known to make some runs in Australia. That’s all I can say. (Now wait, there
could be more to this than meets the eye….), but everything you’ve read here is
true!!
