ANAHEIM, Calif. - NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car veteran Dennis Taylor has announced the signing of Plumbing Concepts as the team's primary sponsor for the 2004 season. Ken Meadows, owner of Plumbing Concepts has been a long time associate backer of Taylor and stepped up to primary sponsor for this season.

Taylor, who runs his racing safety equipment company, Taylor Motorsports Products in Anaheim, Calif., is excited about having Plumbing Concepts on board as a major sponsor. He feels the additional backing will help his team lead by veteran tuner Ora Vasquez reach the next level.

"We're pretty pumped up about Plumbing Concepts stepping up to major sponsor," said Taylor. "This is just another big step for the team. At our last event, we made it to the finals, and then to ink a deal like this in the offseason definitely has us fired up about 2004. Plumbing Concepts has been a long time associate sponsor of our team, and we fully intend to do the best for them next year."

"Cooner Wire, who has been a great primary sponsor for the past two years will still be with the team as a major associate sponsor," Taylor continued. "We have had a great relationship for the past two years, and I'm very pleased they are back on board."

"We have also signed a new associate sponsor, Metro Molded Parts out of Minnesota," Taylor added. "They make weatherstriping, door seals and moldings for vehicles produced from 1918 to present. We're very happy to have them on board in addition to our other great associate sponsors Valvoline, Pepsi, Shaker Shirts, Ultimate Designs, Bear State Heat and Air, Adam's Polishes and Taylor Motorsport Products."

Plumbing Concepts president Andy Carlson is excited about next season as well.

"Shared values of competitiveness, teamwork and the relentless pursuit of excellence make for a great fit with Plumbing Concepts and the Way Cool team," commented Carlson.

"With Plumbing Concepts stepping up, we plan to run 12-14 races and make a serious run for the Division 7 Championship," stated Taylor. "We feel with the level of performance we found last season and the progress we made at the end of the year with that performance, those are attainable goals. It's going to be tough because there are so many good cars out here in Division 7, though. Don't get me wrong, there is tough cars in every division out there, but there are a lot of tough cars out here. It should be an interesting year."

Taylor and the Plumbing Concepts team will open the year at the K&N Filters Winternationals Feb. 19-22 in Pomona, Calif.
