DINWIDDIE, Va. -- 2nd Annual AC Delco Nationals, presented by Chevrolet, rescheduled round two of the 2002 Hooters IHRA Drag Racing Series (Original April 20 date postponed due to rain)

WHERE: Virginia Motorsports Park, Dinwiddie, VA. Track is located on U.S. Route 1 in Dinwiddie, VA. Take Interstate 85 South to Exit 63A and follow the signs.

WHEN: Saturday, June 1, 2002.

WHO: The stars of the Hooters IHRA Drag Racing Series, including 2001 World Champion Clay Millican, three-time champion Paul Romine and Bruce Litton in 320 mile per hour Top Fuel Dragsters; World Champion Mike Janis, Quain and Mitch Stott and the Richmond debut of "The Grave Digger" ’41 Willys in Pro Modified; World Champion Doug Vancil, Jay Turner and 64-year-old Ray Price riding 200 mile per hour Screamin’ Eagle Nitro Harley-Davidson motorcycles; World Champion Mark Thomas, Sully, Iowa’s Dale Brand, John Vouros and Laurie Cannister in Funny Car; and "The World’s Fastest and Quickest Pro Stock cars", featuring the factory hot rods of John Montecalvo (Chevrolet Cavalier), Chris Holbrook (Mercury Cougar), Elijah Morton (Ford Mustang) and Rick Jones (Dodge Neon). Champions will also be crowned in eight Pro-Am classes.

"NIGHT OF FIRE": "Night of Fire" features the final round of pro qualifying "under the lights", Jon Oswell’s Wheelstanding Ladder Truck 83 and a giant fireworks display.

SCHEDULE: Saturday, June 1: Sportsman time trials begin at 11 a.m. followed by Pro time trials at 12 noon. Pro Eliminations begin at 3:00 p.m, followed by Sportsman Eliminations. ("Night of Fire")(Gates open at 8:00 a.m.; schedule subject to change)
