DINWIDDIE, Va. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Screamin{ Eagle Nitro Harley at the Hooters IHRA Drag Racing Series, 2nd annual ACDelco Nationals presented by Chevrolet:

3:06 PM - The temperature is 97 degrees at 35 percent humidity. Track temperature was 131 degrees a few minutes ago but some cloud cover has just moved in. Conner got off the line first but then started to lose power by 100 feet. Vancil just motored on by for the win.

Romine was a little loose at the start while Mancuso looked like he was on a rope. At half track, Mancuso dropped the front tire and slowed, allowing Romine to pass for the win.

Price broke during time trials earlier today and did not show. Turner gave up lane choice to Vancil in the next round.
