DINWIDDIE, Va. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Funny Car at the Hooters IHRA Drag Racing Series, 2nd annual ACDelco Nationals presented by Chevrolet:

Cannister had a huge holeshot, but couldn't match her earlier run, very slow over the first 60 feet (a 1.012). Rector made up the difference by the 60-foot marker and then drove away for a half-car-length win.

Tigges was unable to repair his car in time for this round, so Thomas got a freebie. However, Thomas wasn't quite quick enough to earn lane choice against Rector in the semifinals.

Bunny left for Budd's Creek after round one, so Comella got a solo run to advance to the semifinals. Comella made a nice, smooth, conservative run.

Todd was too eager and then shook very hard, while Brand cruised right down the groove with the quickest run of the round, earning lane choice against Comella in the semifinals.
