GRAND BEND, Ont. - Veteran Nitro Harley owner and rider Jim McClure suffered a stroke Thursday evening at the Grand Bend Motorplex while preparing his motorcycle for the 3rd annual Mopar Performance Parts Canadian Nationals. McClure was transported to London University Hospital, London, Ontario, by ambulance, where doctors administered medication to reverse the effects of the stroke. Initially, McClure lost movement on his right side, but after treatment he began regaining feeling and movement in his right arm and leg. Doctors expect him to make a full recovery, but he will remain in the hospital for 72 hours for observation. McClure's motorcycle, ridden by Mark Conner, will take part in this weekend's IHRA race at Grand Bend.
