GRAND BEND, Ont. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Screamin{ Eagle Nitro Harley at the Hooters IHRA Drag Racing Series, 3rd annual Mopar Performance Parts Canadian Nationals presented by Castrol listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Mark Revels Runs 8.534/113.96, Now #7; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Doug Vancil Runs 6.502/200.08, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.500/189.27, Was #3

Vancil with another 6.50 second pass and picked up the mph a little. Revels was able to get it down the track this time.

Left Lane: Mark Conner Runs 10.489/78.28, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.815/211.41, Was #6
Right Lane: Mike Romine Runs 12.143/51.34, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.471/210.03, Was #1

Romine lost a belt and then had a big bang about 330 feet. Conner's bike went silent before half track.

Left Lane: Steve Stordeur Runs 6.347/217.39, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.471/0.00, Was #2
Right Lane: Ray Price Runs 6.454/212.56, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.563/214.79, Was #4

Price made a quick move toward the guardrail and fought it all the way down the quarter mile. Stordeur with a great looking pass straight down the groove to set the track E.T. record.

Left Lane: Johnny Mancuso Runs 6.442/205.38, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.602/203.25, Was #5
Right Lane: Jack Romine Runs 15.619/56.60, Now #8; Best prior run: 18.673/44.21, Was #8

Romine with problems early in the run and clicked it off. Mancuso puts the Mancuso racing teammates one and two with good clean pass.
