GRAND BEND, Ont. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Top Fuel at the Hooters IHRA Drag Racing Series, Third annual Mopar Performance Parts Canadian Nationals presented by Castrol listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: J.R. Todd Runs 5.851/160.05, Now #4; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Louie Allison Runs 8.979/85.63, Now #6; Best prior run: 11.319/76.02, Was #6

2:34 PM Todd got past half track, then started smoking the tires and lifted on his first pass in competition in 2002. Allison was up in smoke shortly after the launch.

Right Lane: Roger Dean Runs 5.628/228.19, Now #4; No Prior Run

More tire smoke for Romine, but a full pass for Dean.

Last pair, only six cars electing to make runs in this session. Full pass for Litton after a shaky start. Millican was black-tracking and snaking around, lifting around half track.
