GRAND BEND, Ont. - Results of round 1 eliminations in GM Performance Parts Top Stock at the Hooters IHRA Drag Racing Series, Third annual Mopar Performance Parts Canadian Nationals presented by Castrol:

   4 Mark Yamarino      10.264 128.55  Q    5 Monty Bogan        10.298 128.73

Bogan with the slight starting line advantage, but Yamarino had the difference made up by 60 feet.

Morgan was out of the gate first and never looked back. Morgan will have lane choice over Yamarino.

Mercure broke on the burnout and Corda with the freebie. Corda with low E.T. of the round.
