Nitro Harley Qualifying Notes, Final Session

GRAND BEND, Ont. - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Screamin{ Eagle Nitro Harley at the Hooters IHRA Drag Racing Series, Third annual Mopar Performance Parts Canadian Nationals presented by Castrol listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Mike Romine Runs 6.525/215.46, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.471/210.03, Was #4
Right Lane: Johnny Mancuso Runs 6.514/206.28, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.442/205.38, Was #2

This was a good side-by-side drag race, but neither driver will improve.

Left Lane: Doug Vancil Runs 6.457/193.54, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.500/189.27, Was #5
Right Lane: Steve Stordeur Runs 6.461/212.26, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.347/217.39, Was #1

These two were glued together all the way down the quarter mile and Vancil with his quickest pass of the weekend to move into the top half of the field.

Left Lane: Jack Romine Runs 7.019/163.28, Now #7; Best prior run: 15.619/56.60, Was #8
Right Lane: Mark Conner Runs 19.977/42.55, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.702/194.21, Was #6

Conner broke right off the starting line. Romine was on and off the throttle a couple times, and was able to finally get it down the track.

Left Lane: Ray Price Runs 6.448/200.17, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.454/212.56, Was #3

Price launched with the front wheel in the air and was a little loose, but still had his quickest pass of the weekend.
