NORWALK, Ohio -- An incident occurred during the Holley Pro-Am event at Cordova Dragway Park, this weekend (June 15-16, 2002) concerning Don Barks Jr.

After nearly hitting several spectators/participants while on his golf cart intoxicated on Saturday evening, he physically threatened his significant other. She was then allowed to be sheltered in the CDP office while the episode unfolded. Upon arrival of the local authorities (and the Illinois State Police and Rock Island County Sheriffs Department), Barks was removed from the property. Upon his removal by the authorities, he then threatened the CDP security and gate staff.

As the result of his actions, IHRA has suspended Don Barks, Jr.’s competition privileges
