Best Appearing Crew – Mainland Glass Top Alcohol Dragster entry. Driver: Cliff Bozzelli, Absecon, N.J.

Best Engineered – Matco Tools Pro Stock Bike Suzuki entry. Driver: Craig Treble, Chandler, Ariz.

Budweiser Shootout At Pomona Award ($4,000 to the No. 1 qualifier in Top Fuel) – Darrell Russell, Hockley, Texas, Bilstein Engine Flush Dragster, 4.571 seconds, 313.22 mph.

Budweiser Shootout At Indianapolis Award ($4,000 to the No. 1 qualifier in Funny Car) – John Force, Yorba Linda, Calif., Castrol GTX Ford Mustang, 4.762 seconds, 324.05 mph.

NHRA King Demon Crown Award ($3,000 to the No. 1 qualifier in Pro Stock) – Warren Johnson, Buford, Ga. GM Performance Parts Pontiac Grand Am, 6.797 seconds, 203.31 mph.

K&N Filters Pro Bike Klash ($1,000 to the No. 1 qualifier in Pro Stock Motorcycle) – Shawn Gann, Stoneville, N.C., Gann Speed Suzuki, 7.183 seconds, 185.87 mph.

Motel 6 'Who Got the Light' ($1,000 to the individual Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock driver who earns a round win in eliminations by the narrowest margin.) – Tim Wilkerson defeated Johnny Gray by 0.0012 of-a-second margin of victory in the second round of Funny Car.

Motel 6 'Who Got the Light' (Season Award) ($25,000 to the individual Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock driver who earns a round win throughout the season in eliminations by the narrowest margin.) – Larry Morgan defeated Greg Anderson by 0.0002 of-a-second margin of victory in the final round of Pro Stock at Infineon Raceway, Sonoma, Calif. .
