LAKE FOREST, Calif. -- Six-time and reigning NHRA champion Kenny Bernstein announced today that Lucas Oil Products, Inc. has made a three-year commitment to join the Budweiser King team as a major associate sponsor. Beginning this season, the reigning Top Fuel championship dragster will be known as the Budweiser King/Lucas Oil dragster.

“We have spent quite a bit of time with founder Forrest Lucas, his wife Charlotte, and their marketing and sales team” said Bernstein. “We have formulated some great marketing plans that will be mutually beneficial for the ‘Forever Red’ tour and the sales objectives of Lucas Oil. We believe Lucas Oil will aggressively use the race team as a marketing and sales tool just as Budweiser and Mac Tools have through the years. We are proud to have Lucas Oil join our team.”

“We were very impressed with Kenny and his organization,” said Forrest Lucas, founder and president of Lucas Oil Products. “It was apparent to us that Kenny was a businessman driving a race car. Because he is a winner and businessman, he gives us a tremendous value. We intend to highlight his program next year, including incorporating a likeness of the Budweiser King/Lucas Oil Top Fuel dragster on our semi-trailers.”

Lucas Oil Products was founded by Forrest Lucas and his wife Charlotte in 1989 with the philosophy of producing only the best line of lubricants and additives available anywhere. Lucas has established itself as a top selling additive line in the American truck stop industry and is one of the fastest growing additive lines in the consumer automotive industry including a premium line of oils, greases and problem solving additives.

Lucas also produces a heavy duty line of products for the industrial and agricultural markets.

Lucas’ involvement in the racing industry led to production of a line of high performance engine and gear oils.
