Anniversary Season Since 1972 SCEDA has been conducting “Bracket” Drag Races in Southern California. This makes the 30th anniversary of the series with a 12-date race schedule for 2002. All of the events will be held at Los Angeles County Raceway (LACR) in Palmdale, Ca. The first event of the season will be on Saturday January 26, 2002. SCEDA events are open to any cars meeting NHRA tech requirements that can run between 7.50 ET to 13.99 ET. There is a bonus point’s fund that is distributed at the end of the year to the top 10 in points. The entry fee is $100.00 and there are buy backs after the first round for only $30.00. With a car count of 100 cars the events will pay to the winner $5,000.00

April 20 and 21
June 8 and 9
August 10
September 28 and 29
October 19 and 20

All of the races are two races per weekend except the January 26 and the August 10 dates, which are just one-race events.
