Race officials determined to split the purse for each category with the remaining contestants except in Top Sportsman. Top Sportsman will complete eliminations at the Orlando Open in two weeks. Niles Rubar from Cocoa, Fla. in his 1998 Chevy S-10 will have a bye into the final. Ronnie Davis from Lilburn Ga. in his 1963 Chevy Corvette will face Jerry Duke Jr from Fort Lauderdale Fla. in his 2000 Pontiac Firebird in the other semifinal matchup. In Top Alcohol Dragster Michael Gunderson and Tony Bartone were the finalist when the rains set in. They split the prize money ($4,000 first place and the $1,700 runner-up) and flipped a coin for the Wally. Gunderson won the flip and the Wally.
