AutoZone Signs On As Title Sponsor

Roger Gustin, legendary drag racer and Owner / President of AutoStar Productions, producer of the Super Chevy Show series, recently announced a new partnership between America’s largest single-make race and show car series and AutoZone, America ’s largest auto parts retailer.

“I’m thrilled to welcome AutoZone as Title Sponsor and Official / Exclusive Auto Parts Retailer of the Super Chevy Show. In the twenty-two years of this series there has never been a partnership that has presented so many mutually beneficial opportunities for growth. AutoZone will promote the Super Chevy Show in their stores, while at the events our participants and spectators will be made aware of the exceptional prices, products and service available at their local AutoZone store through signage, P.A. announcements and midway displays. Both AutoZone and the Super Chevy Show series have enjoyed unprecedented growth, largely due to shared core beliefs of customer service and value. Quite simply, there is no company I would rather welcome aboard as Title Sponsor.”

The efforts of AutoStar Productions Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Mark Rowe, were crucial to making this deal possible, and he was as enthusiastic as Gustin when asked about details of this partnership: “The entire staff of AutoStar Productions is excited about the new opportunities to grow the Super Chevy Show series as we prepare for the 2003 season with AutoZone as title sponsor. This 3-year partnership will increase awareness of Super Chevy Show events and AutoZone retail locations among motorsports fans, known as the most loyal supporters of companies that support their sport. The cross-promotional opportunities are endless, and Super Chevy Show fans will see many tangible benefits, including spectator discount coupons at AutoZone locations for every Super Chevy Show. It is truly a win-win for our series, AutoZone and consumers”

Now in its 22nd year, Super Chevy Shows are a nation-wide tour of events open to any Chevrolet-bodied or powered vehicle. Over 560,000 people attended during the 2001 season, making the Super Chevy Show the largest car show and drag racing bracket series in the world. As of August 31, 2002, AutoZone sells auto and light truck parts, chemicals and accessories through 3,068 AutoZone stores in 44 states plus the District of Columbia, 39 AutoZone stores in Mexico and online at AutoZone.com. AutoZone also sells automotive diagnostic and repair software through ALLDATA, and alldatadiy.com.
