CHANDLER, Ariz. -- Firebird International Raceway will host the 2003 NHRA National Time Trials, Saturday, Jan. 18 and Sunday, Jan. 19, a two-day event featuring some of the best drivers and fastest cars in the world. Fans will be able to get the first dose of new and improved horsepower, while racing teams fine-tune their engines to prepare for the 2003 NHRA season - a season that includes the 2003 NHRA Checker Schuck's Kragen Nationals at Firebird on February 20-23. Twelve-time NHRA POWERade Funny Car Champion John Force, former NHRA Winston Top Fuel Champions Tony Schumacher and Larry Dixon will be on the track and in the pits tuning-up for the new year.
