Wed, 21 Nov 2001, 04:31 PM O'Reilly Auto Parts Extends Sponsorship of NHRA Spring Nationals

GLENDORA, Calif. -- O'Reilly Auto Parts has reached a four-year extension with the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) for their sponsorship of the NHRA Spring Nationals at the Houston Raceway Park, NHRA Vice President of Sales and Business Development Bob Wagner announced today.

The 15th annual O'Reilly Spring Nationals is scheduled for April 11-14, at Houston Raceway Park in Baytown, Texas. The race, which features some of the quickest and fastest racing on the circuit, is the fifth of 23 events in NHRA Drag Racing Series for 2002 and will be televised by the ESPN family of networks.

"O'Reilly Auto Parts is extremely excited to have the opportunity to continue the title sponsorship of the O'Reilly Spring Nationals at Houston Raceway Park," said Ron Byerly, vice president of advertising and marketing for O'Reilly Auto Parts. "We've enjoyed our relationship with the NHRA and Houston Raceway Park over the years and we certainly welcome an extended relationship with this fine event. The commitment maintains O'Reilly's major presence in NHRA Drag Racing as an event title sponsor. The company also is the title sponsor of the O'Reilly NHRA Summer Nationals at Heartland Park Topeka in late May, the O'Reilly Nationals at Memphis Motorsports Park in mid-September and the O'Reilly Fall Nationals at the Texas Motorplex near Dallas in mid-October.
