POMONA, Calif. - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Pro Stock Truck at the 37th annual Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:


Left Lane: Victor Cagnazzi Runs 7.473/179.85, Now #9; Best prior run: 7.527/181.20, Was #15
Right Lane: Lou Ficco Runs 7.493/180.36, Now #12; Best prior run: 7.536/179.61, Was #18

11:12 AM Here come the trucks. We open with a pair of identical ET's. Both drivers are now in the field and Bob Yonke is on the bubble.

Left Lane: Kurt Hugger No Time, Now #20; Best prior run: 7.688/176.77, Was #20
Right Lane: Rick Brown Runs 7.563/178.73, Now #19; Best prior run: 7.536/178.92, Was #19

Hugger breaks on the burnout so Brown gets a single. No help.

Left Lane: Dale Eaton Runs 7.505/180.62, Now #14; Best prior run: 7.530/180.62, Was #17
Right Lane: Bart Price Runs 7.475/181.35, Now #10; Best prior run: 7.514/180.65, Was #15

Price is in the field already but he needs to improve. He does that and so does Eaton.

Left Lane: Bob Yonke Runs 7.511/179.71, Now #17; Best prior run: 7.522/180.02, Was #17
Right Lane: Scott Perin Runs 7.499/179.73, Now #14; Best prior run: 7.513/179.37, Was #16

Perin gets off the bump but Yonke gets no help.

Left Lane: Jeff Naiser Runs 7.495/179.73, Now #14; Best prior run: 7.532/179.56, Was #18
Right Lane: Mike Coughlin Runs 7.472/181.52, Now #6; Best prior run: 7.462/181.76, Was #6

Naiser bumps back into the field.

Left Lane: Jeff Gracia Runs 7.510/180.40, Now #17; Best prior run: 7.509/181.11, Was #17
Right Lane: Bob Panella Jr Runs 7.427/181.89, Now #1; Best prior run: 7.468/181.42, Was #7

Panella to #1.

Left Lane: Todd Patterson Runs 7.435/181.18, Now #4; Best prior run: 7.470/181.03, Was #8
Right Lane: Randy Daniels Runs 7.435/181.74, Now #3; Best prior run: 7.440/181.67, Was #3

Patterson goes into the top half.

Left Lane: Scott Tidwell Runs 7.453/180.96, Now #7; Best prior run: 7.460/181.32, Was #7
Right Lane: John Lingenfelter Runs 7.409/182.75, Now #1; Best prior run: 7.431/181.59, Was #2

Lingenfelter ties a rocket to the back of his Sonoma. Right to the top spot.

Left Lane: Don Smith Runs 7.440/181.30, Now #5; Best prior run: 7.487/180.86, Was #12
Right Lane: Craig Eaton Runs 7.472/181.89, Now #7; Best prior run: 7.452/181.72, Was #6

Smith to the top half and no help for Eaton.

Left Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 7.442/182.01, Now #7; Best prior run: 7.482/181.69, Was #12
Right Lane: Taylor Lastor Runs 7.440/180.84, Now #6; Best prior run: 7.444/180.50, Was #6

Stanfield makes a big move and makes it to the top half of the field. That closes the third session for the trucks.
