POMONA, Calif. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Top Fuel at the 17th annual Budweiser Shootout at Pomona:

Russell was out of the gate first, but blistered the hides around the 330-foot mark to end his chances. Kalitta with another great looking pass straight down the groove for the win.

Dixon with a great launch out of the gate first and a quick 0.841 60-foot time. Dixon with a big half track speed at 272.50 mph, but Dunn was even faster at 276.46 mph. Dunn was closing in on Dixon until right before the finish line when he had a quick flash of flame. Dixon will have lane choice in the final.
