POMONA, Calif. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock Truck at the 37th annual Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Rick Brown Runs 7.536/178.92, Now #16; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 7.482/181.69, Now #5; Best prior run: 14.006/62.08, Was #19

1:43 PM The first of the Pro sessions is about to begin. The temperature is about 80 degrees and lots of sun. Brown gets in on the bump, but Stanfield is into the top half.

Left Lane: Bart Price Runs 7.514/180.65, Now #9; Best prior run: 7.553/180.69, Was #19
Right Lane: Kurt Hugger Runs 7.688/176.77, Now #20; Best prior run: 7.729/175.46, Was #20

Brown got in on the bump and there are lots of drivers about to take shots at his spot. Price bumps Brown and puts Ficco on the bump.

Left Lane: Lou Ficco Runs 10.657/85.83, Now #17; Best prior run: 7.536/179.61, Was #16
Right Lane: Jeff Gracia Runs 7.509/181.11, Now #9; Best prior run: 7.548/180.07, Was #19

Ficco was just bumped and will try to return to the field. Gracia is also outside the field. Ficco gets loose and has to shut off at half track. Gracia makes the field. Lastor is now in danger.

Left Lane: Taylor Lastor Runs 7.444/180.50, Now #1; Best prior run: 7.536/180.26, Was #16
Right Lane: Don Smith Runs 7.487/180.86, Now #9; Best prior run: 7.537/180.74, Was #19

Lastor goes from the bottom to the top of the field. Smith gets in and puts Dale Eaton on the bubble.

Left Lane: Scott Perin Runs 7.513/179.37, Now #12; Best prior run: 7.528/179.78, Was #15
Right Lane: Jeff Naiser Runs 7.532/179.56, Now #17; Best prior run: 7.535/179.56, Was #17

Naiser is outside looking in and Perin is close to the bump. Perin picks up but Naiser gets no help.

Left Lane: Bob Panella Jr Runs 7.468/181.42, Now #4; Best prior run: 7.490/181.08, Was #10
Right Lane: Dale Eaton Runs 7.545/179.85, Now #16; Best prior run: 7.530/180.62, Was #16

The new champ will try to move up in the field. Panella moves into #4, but Eaton remains on the bump spot.

Daniels to the #1 spot.

Eaton makes a big move into the top half in the Dodge. Yonke gets no help.
