2:26 PM Rivera opens the second session of Pro Stock. Lots of sun and heat may take a toll on these cars. Good run but not quick enough for this field.

Right Lane: Mike Trumble Runs 6.980/198.85, Now #18; Best prior run: 6.934/199.11, Was #18

Another pair that will need another session. Kurt Johnson remains on the bump spot.

Right Lane: Kurt Johnson Runs 6.937/200.35, Now #18; Best prior run: 6.927/200.17, Was #17

Both drivers will be trying to bump their way back into the show. Coughlin in but Kurt goes into Saturday outside the field. Troy carded a 1.017 sixty foot number.

Right Lane: V. Gaines Runs 6.906/200.98, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.909/200.74, Was #11

Almost identical runs for this pair. Good, but no help in qualifying position.

Left Lane: Ron Krisher Runs 6.901/200.89, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.904/201.13, Was #7
Right Lane: George Marnell Runs 6.899/200.38, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.898/200.29, Was #4

Krisher must have driven 1500 feet to get that 6.90. He was all over the lane early on. Marnell was in the groove but doesn't improve.

Left Lane: Warren Johnson Runs 6.867/201.49, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.904/201.25, Was #7
Right Lane: Jim Yates Runs 6.894/200.35, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.878/200.71, Was #1

Johnson waggles the tail at the hit but takes over the top spot. Yates gets a nice pass but remains #2. As a reminder, Warren only has to qualify 3rd or better to close out Yates. That's all for the Pro Stockers with Funny Car up next.
