10:46 AM Top Fuel is center stage. Malde got a big lead at the line but Jennings was on a mission. Malde's ride fell silent at half track but Jennings runs the first '5' of the weekend. The air is cool and we have full cloud cover. That may have been the first of several good runs.

Murphy smoked the tires but recovered well but Dunlap had way to big a lead.

Harris smokes the tires and #1 qualifier, McGee, gets the win. Those guys are Pumped!!!

This was what the folks came to see. A great side by side race that was decided right at the finish. Pulde got a slight lead at the start but McDaniel began to pull him. Just before the lights there was a bunch of smoke out of Pulde's car and the light came on in McDaniel's lane. Margin of victory = 0.010 seconds (approximately 4 feet).
