12:56 PM Strasburg continues on pace for the divisional championship with another great tree and another nice run. Shields was on time, but couldn't get back into the forties and came up short this time around. Margin of victory = 0.130 seconds (approximately 49 feet).

Federlin left first and then drove his heart out, the car out of the groove and trying to cross the centerline. He went across the finish line sideways, the rear tires trailing smoke, but he got the win light! Margin of victory = 0.070 seconds (approximately 26 feet).

Brounkowski was a no-show, so Nicholson was running for lane choice. He got what he was looking for, edging Federlin out by 0.027 seconds.

Last pair. Nuckols launched into shake, pedaled, shook and skated some more, and gave it up. bernstein went right down the groove, another clean run, to earn lane choice against Strasburg by just 0.011 seconds. Should be a great semifinal round, the four winning cars running between 5.562 and 5.585 in this round.
