11:30 AM The battle for the Pro Supercharged title is now in eliminations. There is two points between Wood and Woods. Woods gets the first break as Leonard breaks on the burnout. The ball is back in Wood's court to keep pace.

Well here comes the other participant in the Pro Super title chase. Wood needs to win this round to keep pace with Woods. Yep, both also have the first name Steve as well. And that's it for Wood's title hopes. He took a big lead but his engine fell silent around half track. Abbey took the lead and the win. Insult but no injury for Wood as the word is the Studebaker blew the burst panel out and they rolled to put out a small fire.

Well, when it rains, it pours. Almost literally as we are getting spits of rain. This is supposed to pass quickly but you never know in Bakersfield. Last time I trust the weather man here! 1:09 PM and rain has ceased for the moment. The track is dried and Pro Supercharged comes back to life. Reinero had a couple of dead holes and decided not to make the run.

Roberts did all he could do on the tree but Nune's Corvette drove around him before half track. That run means that Steve Woods is the Pro Supercharged champ.
