BRISTOL, Tenn. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Federal-Mogul Dragster at the FMDRS 2-6 listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Bruce Horner Runs 5.921/238.81, Now #2
Right Lane: Marty Thacker Runs 5.908/238.60, Now #1

Both dragsters suffer a little tire shake right off the line, both drive through it and make decent passes.

Left Lane: Artie Allen Runs 5.809/221.96, Now #1
Right Lane: Don Fiorelli Runs 5.899/239.95, Now #2

Left Lane: Billy Bybee Runs 5.639/254.38, Now #1
Right Lane: Bill McCornack Runs 5.643/246.93, Now #2

No problems for these two, right down the groove and they take the top two spots.
