Left Lane: Jeff Craig Runs 6.139/241.80, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.002/241.67, Was #5 Right Lane: Chuck Cheeseman Runs 5.831/246.50, Now #2; Best prior run: 5.855/246.98, Was #2 1:59 PM It's still very dark and cloudy. The temperature is about 71 degrees, the barometer is 29.66, and the humidity is up to 81%. It's time for the second round of qualifying. We will be lucky to get in the final session, so this may be the last chance for these guys. Cheeseman improves on his run yesterday and keeps the number two spot for now. Craig is lazy off the line and can't improve on his prior run. Left Lane: Kim Fritts Runs 15.115/60.10, Now #4; Best prior run: 5.995/238.41, Was #4 Right Lane: Jeff Lancaster Runs 6.409/220.58, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.698/209.20, Was #6 Fritts hit the throttle and the car jumps up in the rear and spins the tires. He pumps it once and then shuts it off. Lancaster is clean to the end and picks up 2 tenths, but stays in the number 6 spot.
