BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Lee Jennings took home the Top Fuel Trophy this weekend at the 10th Annual NHRA California Hot Rod Reunion at Famoso Raceway. Jennings knocked out Jason Howell with a 6.632 second 228.77 mph run before accepting the trophy from event sponsor the Automobile Club of Southern California. Scott Christlieb repeated as Reunion winner in the Nostalgia Eliminator division with a run of 8.615 at 123.66 to Don Taros' 11.331, 79.75 mph. "We won last year but never got any pictures," voiced Christlieb. "It's great to win this event, but to do it twice is incredible. We'll definitely get a bunch of pictures this year." Jason Richey also repeated along with going to his third final round in as many years in A-Fuel. Richey beat out Sean Bellemeur of La Canada, Calif., with a pass of 7.055 at 197.97 to Bellemeur's 7.308, 197.58 "We've had some success here at Famoso but we've also had quite a bit of luck," explained Richey. "We got in the show as an alternate when (Rick) White broke and couldn't make the call. We'll take them any way they come." Steve Woods overcame a startingline advantage as he came around Dale Boomgarden in the final of Pro Supercharged for the win in 6.948 seconds at 199.11 mph. In the Junior Fuel class, it was Wayne Ramay who went unopposed in the final as Bill Wayne broke on his burnout. Ramay ran it through the lights at 7.281 at 183.41 mph. Winner's in other categories were Ed Cooper in A/Gas over Don Chemello; Bob Muravez beat out Mike McLennan with a 6.237, 223.71 in Top Fuel "B"; and Bill Thatcher and his '67 Ford clocked in at 10.091 second for the win over Phil Featherston with a 10.300 at 132.29 in A/FX.
