5:56 PM Okay, this is the real final round runoff from the opening Division 1 points race of the year. We were told otherwise yesterday, that the second round qualifying match for the Pep Boys Nationals between these two was the delayed final and that made sense given the weather forecasts for today, but that information was obviously incorrect. Oh well, some days you're the windshield...We apologize for the misinformation.

Both drivers made huge burnouts, Gill stopping just short of the finish line. The race did not go according to form, Manzo needing a holeshot to notch the victory. Manzo launched into some shake, then his car got a bit sideways and he had to muscle it back to the groove, the car all over the track but getting there first. Gill made a great run, but could not overcome the starting line advantage. Margin of victory = 0.004 seconds (approximately 18 inches). Manzo maintains his "perfect" season for the national championship.
