4:14 PM October 5 - this is the final round for the first Division 1 race of the year, postponed from May 28. A win here would give Manzo a "perfect season" and clinch the 2001 Federal-Mogul Funny Car championship.

The race went according to form, Manzo right on time and Gill not far behind. Manzo didn't falter and Gill was unable to stay with him. Now the Division 1 season is over for 2001...Margin of victory = 0.099 seconds (approximately 36 feet).
