It is 63 degrees, humidity is 65% and the barometer is 30.37 inches under sunny skies. Allen left too soon and that gave Edwards the freebie.

Hammonds is late on the starting line and that is the end of his day as Kurt blast through the quarter-mile with the quickest et of the round.

Jeter with the starting line advantage and the power to hold off a hard charging Coughlin for the hole shot win. That is Jeter's fifth hole shot win of the season second only to Troy's brother Jeg. Margin of victory = 0.020 seconds (approximately 6 feet).

Krisher with the starting line advantage, but that did not last long as Yates drove around him by 100 feet. Margin of victory = 0.015 seconds (approximately 4 feet).

Marnell riding high off his win from last week and he straps a hole shot on Osborne and has the power to hold off the quicker Osborne to move into roun two. Margin of victory = 0.009 seconds (approximately 3 feet). Marnell will give up lane choice to Alderman, Martino will have his pick over Yates, WJ will get to pick against Jeter, and Kurt will have his choice over Edwards in the next round.
