   9 Darrell Russell 4.621 315.56 Q 16 Scott Weis 4.928 224.88
   (A Cowin ) 0.535 5.692 249.26 E1 (M Dunn ) 0.495 5.826 212.19

They left together, but then Russell just drove away. Weis was right there if Russell would of made a mistake, but they have that car running like a bracket car running consistent low 4.60's

 Qua-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed-Rd-Qua-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed
   4 Doug Kalitta 4.541 319.37 Q 12 Tim Gibson 4.647 310.63
   (B Litton ) 0.510 4.546 319.60 E1 (D Herbert ) 0.496 4.727 251.77
 *****WINNER***** 0.498 4.590 318.02 E2 0.504 11.103 88.79
Kalitta was out of the gate first launching hard lifting the front end, he set the front tires down gently and blasting on through the quarter-mile for the win. Gibson blistered the Goodyears right off the starting line. Kalitta will have lane choice over Russell in the semi-finals.

 Qua-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed-Rd-Qua-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed
   3 Larry Dixon 4.514 320.58 Q 6 Gary Scelzi 4.546 316.45
   (P Romine ) 0.494 4.531 323.66 E1 (R Hartman-Sm) 0.499 4.567 324.20
 *****WINNER***** 0.512 4.539 322.42 E2 0.497 4.601 316.52
Scelzi with the starting line advantage, but Dixon has the difference made up by the 60-foot mark with another quick 60-foot time 0.838 seconds. Dixon running real consistent this weekend.

 Qua-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed-Rd-Qua-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed
   2 Kenny Bernstein 4.513 325.22 Q 10 David Grubnic 4.622 295.79
   (C Karamesine) 0.493 4.528 324.98 E1 (T Schumacher) 0.521 4.774 300.80
 *****WINNER***** 0.497 4.533 321.81 E2 0.463 16.519 65.63
Grubnic out of the gate first and he is smoking the Goodyears instantly. Bernstein was slower to the 60-foot mark and the 330 than Dixon, but after that it was all Red car in comparing the two Beer cars. Bernstein will have lane choice in the semi-finals over Dixon by 0.006 seconds.
