MILLINGTON, Tenn. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Top Fuel at the 14th annual AutoZone NHRA Nationals presented by Pennzoil:

Under partly cloudy skies with the tempeture around 84 degrees, humidity is 55% and the barometer is 30.02 inches. Dunn was out the gate started to haze the tires around 330 feet and probably grabbed the brake as he is well known for doing and just hazed them all the way through the quarter-mile. Scelzi was up in smoke by 100 feet and pedaled it and when he did it threw the blower belt off and that was the end of his day.

Kalitta with a slight starting line advantage and never looked back with a good looking pass. Running consistent high 4.60's. Herbert lost traction around half track and pedaled it, but then smoked them again to end his day.

Dixon with the starting line advantage and never looked back. Schumacher was right there with Dixon, good side by side drag race.

Bernstein with another quick et of the round, picture perfect pass for the heat of the day. Russell with just whisp of tire smoke around 900 feet and then again on the top end. Bernstein will have lane choice over Kalitta and Dixon will get his pick against Dunn.
