MILLINGTON, Tenn. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Funny Car at the 14th annual AutoZone NHRA Nationals presented by Pennzoil:

12:57 PM Pedregon gets the jump off the line but Worsham catches him by the sixty foot mark. He goes up in smoke about 400 feet out, pedals to no avail and finally gives up on the run. Worsham makes his best pass of the weekend.

Capps makes a great run in the "bad" lane. Skuza was ahead at the sixty foot mark and Capps passed him before half-track and drove away.

Bazemore hits the throttle and goes up in he smoke. He pedals to no avail and has to give up on the run. No problems for Densham, right down Broadway, but gives up lane choice to Capps in round three.

Johnson leaves first and holds off Force until halftrack. The Castrol machine then drives by and takes the win. He will have lane choice over Johnson in the next round. Margin of victory = 0.046 seconds (approximately 20 feet).
