LAS VEGAS - Notes from final, round 2 qualifying in Afuel at the 12th Annual Goodguys Fall Classic listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Terry Caldwell Runs 9.241/97.46, Now #6; Best prior run: 7.449/183.00, Was #6
Right Lane: James Paul Runs 6.709/201.79, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.835/200.38, Was #2

4:17 PM Paul moves right to the top of the field.

Left Lane: Greg Uffens Runs 7.013/193.35, Now #5; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Kin Bates Runs 6.901/195.65, Now #3; Best prior run: 7.774/194.32, Was #8

Bates gets off the bump and all the way to the top half of the field. Bates runs an injected nitro car against all of the blown alcohol racers. He also has Gene Adams helping out.

Left Lane: Bob Anderson Runs 7.614/177.65, Now #10; Best prior run: 7.724/176.81, Was #9
Right Lane: Sean Bellemeur Runs 6.875/199.58, Now #3; No Prior Run

Bellemeur broke in the first round with a magneto shaft. That's all behind him now as that pass qualifies him in the top half. Anderson's racer just seemed lazy all the way to the lights.

Left Lane: Mike Joyce Runs 7.107/189.50, Now #7; Best prior run: 7.132/191.95, Was #7
Right Lane: Ted Groocock Runs 7.501/180.24, Now #8; Best prior run: 7.170/192.00, Was #8

Groocock fails to move off the bump spot but it won't matter as this was the final pair of A Fuel cars.
