7:34 PM This round of Federal-Mogul Drag Racing will be huge. All the cars are pretty evenly matched. All the cars have something to prove. Duane Shields can't win the National Championship this year, but he can finish strong and finish in the top five nationally. Bamm! Both drivers had just a wisp of shake - but it was Jones better reaction time that was the difference, taking out Shields with a huge holeshot victory.

The national championship in the category may come down to who wins this round. Santos MUST get a divisional event win to win the championship. Hentges MUST win a National Event to get the national crown, but can make things much easier on himself by taking out the giant Oakwood Homes dragster. Man this is exciting!! What a drag race! Great lights for both drivers. Santos legged things out to 60 feet with a .946, it was not quite as quick as Hentges .941. At half track Santos was going 210 miles per hour, Hentges was going 207. It was about that point that Santos drove past Hentges, and served notice the Oakwood team has not let go of that 5th National Title. Rick will race Jones in the final - a bit of trivia included - Rick Santos built both cars...
