MEDFORD, Ore. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Federal-Mogul Funny Car at the Snap On Tools Valley Thunder Weekend:

Pat's team had quite a thrash between rounds after they blew up the motor in round one. The hemi ballet was in full motion between rounds in the ProMax pit area. Austin's Firebird was very agressive - .961 short time, Weaver just didn't have enough ponies under the fiberglass to catch up.

Miner got a big holeshot, but started moving around and over towards the centerline. He had to dance his way down the track and did so very effectively. He did a great job of driving, but that was enough to open the door for the top end charge of Bucky to drive on past him by half track. So the final will be an all Austin affair, and Pat will have lane choice. 7:53 PM
