LAS VEGAS - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Afuel at the 12th Annual Goodguys Fall Classic listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Jason Richey Runs 9.668/92.46, Now #2
Right Lane: Bill Genco Runs 6.991/193.96, Now #1

1:11 PM A Fuel is next out from under the sign at Las Vegas. Richey is loose and decides to call it off. Genco breaks into the six second zone.

Left Lane: James Paul Runs 6.835/200.38, Now #1
Right Lane: Terry Caldwell Runs 7.449/183.00, Now #3

Paul moves to the top of the field early in the first round of qualifying.

Left Lane: Sean Bellemeur No Time, Now #6
Right Lane: Mike Joyce Runs 7.132/191.95, Now #3

Bellemeur breaks right off the starting line and coasts over to the guardrail. Joyce moves into the #3 spot in the order.

Left Lane: Kin Bates Runs 7.774/194.32, Now #6
Right Lane: Ron Attebury Runs 6.776/206.07, Now #1

Attebury picks up right where he left off in May in Las Vegas. He moves to the top of the field. Bates appeared to roll the lights and his ET was way off.

Left Lane: Ted Groocock Runs 7.170/192.00, Now #5
Right Lane: Greg Uffens No Time, Now #10

Uffens rolls through the lights before the tree is activated and gets no time. Groocock gets to the finish under power a is qualified.

Right Lane: Bob Anderson Runs 7.724/176.81, Now #7

Anderson closes the session with a very soft pass.
