MILLINGTON, Tenn. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Federal-Mogul Dragster at the 14th annual AutoZone NHRA Nationals presented by Pennzoil:

Callaway with the starting line advantage, but Meyer was able to chase him down by half track and hold on to take the win. Meyer will face Gallant in round two as Gallant as the bye in this round.

Bartone with the lead at the starting line and just stretched it out from there to take the win light. Marshall mixing up cylinders and slowed.

Gallant with another time trial here and he makes the most out of it, taking lane choice in round two against Randy Meyer.

Thompson left before the tree was activated and then got out of the groove and real close to the wall. Meyer with a great looking pass and the quickest pass of the session.

Fuentes was real late on the tree and then was all over the lane from the wall to the centerline to the wall. He did a great job driving to take the win.

Bohr left early and then got close to the wall to give Buff the win. Buff got a little loose around 330 feet, but stayed with it to take lane choice in round two against Bartone.

Snow was mixing up cylinders right off the starting line until half track and then there was a bang and the engine went silent. Thacker was out of the gate first and never looked back to take the win light. Thacker will give up lane choice to Fuentes in round two.

Bernstein with the starting line advantage, but Reichert had the difference made up by 330 feet. Reichert started to shake the tires and he pedaled it one time and then just motored on through the quarter-mile for the win. He will give up lane choice to Jay Meyer in round two.
