MILLINGTON, Tenn. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock at the 14th annual AutoZone NHRA Nationals presented by Pennzoil listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Mike Edwards Runs 6.949/198.20, Now #8; Best prior run: 14.173/58.21, Was #34
Right Lane: Greg Thomas Runs 7.007/196.59, Now #21; Best prior run: 8.273/120.76, Was #32

Edwards figured out the problems from the earlier round as he jumps into the top half of the field.

Left Lane: Mike Thomas Runs 6.955/197.08, Now #11; Best prior run: 11.579/75.19, Was #34
Right Lane: Richie Stevens Runs 7.030/195.05, Now #25; Best prior run: 7.417/185.46, Was #32

Thomas with a 1.027 seconds 60-foot time and into the show for now, but that probably won't hold.

Left Lane: Tony Gillig Runs 6.963/196.93, Now #14; Best prior run: 7.747/197.36, Was #34
Right Lane: Mike Weinle Runs 7.205/192.85, Now #32; Best prior run: 7.246/193.38, Was #33

Gillig with a little wiggle around the 330-foot mark.

Left Lane: Danny Coffman Runs 7.051/194.74, Now #29; Best prior run: 7.242/191.84, Was #34
Right Lane: Robert Patrick Runs 6.925/197.86, Now #3; Best prior run: 7.128/196.33, Was #31

Patrick straight down the groove to jump into the number three spot. Coffman was loose right off the starting line.

Both cars labored off the starting line.

Right Lane: Rickie Smith Runs 6.964/197.36, Now #16; Best prior run: 7.021/196.99, Was #26

Koretsky was real loose off the starting line making a move toward the wall. Smith got into the field for now.

Franks with a good looking pass here to get into the top half of the field.

Strouse got real loose around half track and had to lift. WJ found the problems from round one and jumps right behind Yates.

Coughlin with a little wiggle right off the starting line. Martino in the show for now.

A pair of 1.03 60-foot times and Pawuk stretches it into a number six position, and no help for Alderman.

Johnson made a big jump here up into the top half of the show. Jeter gets into the show for now.

Morgan was all over his lane and real close to the centerline. Osborne goes from the outside to the top half of the show.

Jeg with a good pass to get into the top half of the show. No help for Allen.

Yates with the quickest pass of the session, but can not improve on his time from this afternoon. No help for Krisher.
