EARLVILLE, Iowa - Results of round 2 eliminations in Federal-Mogul Funny Car at the Winnebago Division Five Event Five:

Chesterman was out of the gate first and had violent tire shake with the car completely sideways around the 330-foot, but he keep his foot in it. Moats was on a good looking pass until just past half track and that is when his engine let go with a big flash of flame. Looks like he threw out the rods and a lot of other stuff on the track. Chesterman was able to catch him around 1000 feet to take the win.

Williams with the starting line advantage, but just past half track got out of the groove and real close to the wall. Cheeseman with a nice looking pass to take the win light and will have lane choice over Chesterman in the final.
